We have all heard of pay-per-click (PPC) and have seen it rise to become the primary form of online advertising in the space of only a few years. Most webmasters carry PPC ads on their sites these days, be it Google or any of the other PPC providers such as Yahoo or Miva. But how many people have heard of pay-per-play (PPP) and will it work?

As the name suggests, rather than getting paid for each ad-click, webmasters will get paid for each ad-play. A play consists of a five second ad each time a page is loaded that has the PPP code installed. It is a sound based ad that will be based around brand advertising rather than trying to sell a particular product. If the user stays on the page they will not continue to get ads, it is the just the single five second ad, unless they refresh the page.

The million dollar question though is, will PPP work? Sound can be really irritating for website visitors, especially when they are not expecting it. This in itself might deter some webmasters as it might scare their visitors away. On the other hand, it is only a five second ad and if enough websites adopt it, maybe it will become the norm and people will just get used to it.

As a webmaster myself I can see an immediate opportunity to make some quick cash from PPP via traffic exchanges and in particular, auto traffic exchanges. Most traffic exchanges require a page view for between twenty and thirty seconds and we all know most surfers are simply trying to build up their surfing credits. If I put the code on a page explaining what PPP is, surfers will get an ad alongside an explanation and on an auto traffic exchange that page could easily get hundreds of views per day. Each time an ad plays, I am earning a commission. And there are plenty of traffic exchanges that allow sound, so I can’t imagine this will do anything but earn me some bucks.

However, I will still need to be convinced of the risk/reward of putting the PPP code on all my website pages. I’d be really interested to see what other webmasters think about the risk/reward of PPP ads. The risk as I see it is that my visitors will be scared off. The reward is a commission for each ad played. While I intend to take the opportunity of earning some money from the traffic exchange concept, I am not yet ready to dive on in and put the code all over my site.

And what about the advertisers?

Most advertisers looking to promote a brand will be fairly large corporate type advertisers. They will only be attracted by PPP if it is widely adopted by webmasters. They are unlikely to experience the benefit if their ads are primarily being played in traffic exchange type environments. Corporate advertisers will want mainstream coverage. But they will only get mainstream coverage if webmasters are prepared to adopt the concept for the majority of their sites.

We seem to have reached a classic catch 22 scenario.

So are there any other considerations? The website that is currently signing up webmasters for the PPP launch on 1st February 2008 has an Alexa rating of 25000 but a Google page rank of 0. That means some serious marketing is going on behind this program. The website hasn’t been around for very long as borne out by their page rank but already they have enough traffic to put them in the top 25000 websites on the internet. Sure, a three tier affiliate program will help but nonetheless, there must be some serious money behind them. Further, they claim to be backed by a major search engine, as yet unnamed.

In short, I am yet to be convinced by PPP and whether it will work over the longer term. However, on the basis that it might work, I’d like to be a part of it. I’d also love to hear the views of other webmasters.

Friendswin could be the net’s newest and most exciting destination to connect with the internet community. Needless to say that eFriendsWin hopes to be a useful tool for internet marketers or home business owners.

Off course after the succes of Youtube, Myspace and others the number of social network sites grows by the day and many entrepreneurs are out to get a piece of the action. It remains to be seen if Friendswin can create enough members to make rapid growth possible. Other new ones like Uvme or Ojeez are working hard to get their share too and the market could get saturated.

Friendswin will not come for free. It is expected to charge a new member $49,95 per year as from Jan 1st 2008. After that a monthly fee of $9,95 is due. People that sign in during the pre launch don’t pay the annual fee for the first year.

*Managing your affiliate program, let alone your affiliates

*Sending carefully-timed emails to each of your prospects

*Tracking clients as they move from prospect to customer

*Sorting out pay

I know this is the second article in the series and you are still asking, “What in the world does the Law of Attraction have to do with an internet based home business”?  I also know there are probably other questions you continue to ask as well and I have all intentions of writing other articles to express an opinion in response.  But to get back to this question and my response.

The last article gave my opinion on how goals were associated with the law of attraction and also a little about beliefs.  In this article I am going to give you my opinion on how gratitude plays an important role in the Law of Attraction, your internet based business and being as successful as you would like to be.

Most people think about gratitude, when they think of it at all, as saying “thank you” when someone opens a door for them or when they are given some type of help in any number of situations.  Believe you me, it is nice to have someone open the door for you, especially when you need (have a bulky object in your arms) it opened.  Even though “thank you” is appropriate to say when other people help you to show your appreciation and gratitude, this is not what I am getting at when I refer to gratitude in association with your internet based home business and the Law of Attraction.

When you consider the Law of Attraction in combination with success in life you have to consider what material objects really are.  How they are brought into being and what actions are necessary to attract them into your life.

I will not be able to address these issues except from a very broad perspective in this one article, in fact I will only briefly hit upon them.  It would take a complete book to address what material things really are and another complete book to discuss how they are brought into being and what actions are necessary to attract them into you possession.  Taking this into consideration please realize that I am just going to touch very broad aspects of these ideas.

1-What material objects are.  Material objects are composed of atoms (as I understand it you can actually get to a smaller unit than the atom, I think I have heard it termed the Plank Scale).  The most solid thing you see is 99.9999999… percent space.  All material objects, including you and I are made of atoms.  I am not an expert in this field, so far be it from me to try to detail any of this information, BUT, if the center of an atom was the size of a basketball the electrons circling it would be about 20 miles out from the center.  Considering everything is made up of atoms you try to determine how much of you is space and how much is matter.

2-How material objects are brought into our possession.  Everything in this universe has a specific vibration.  Like vibrations attract like vibrations.  To bring anything into your possession you have to maintain a vibration in resonance with the things you are attracting.  The problem with this is that nearly all of us attract through an unconscious vibrational pattern.  We do not control our thoughts our thoughts control us.

3-What actions are necessary to bring matter into being, as far as material wealth is concerned.  That is easier to answer.  First is thought, which is pure vibration.  Seeing what you desire in your mind brings that thing into focus.  Second is word.  What you talk about most of the time is what you think about most of the time.  Third is action.  Taking inspired action on intuitive ideas that are presented to you at the time they are presented will bring you what you have thought about and spoke of.

Here is where gratitude comes into play.  To bring the things you desire into your life you have to be grateful for what you have right now.  You have to believe that you are deserving and be thankful for all you desire before it is physically present and in your possession.  So if you can’t see your internet based business as successful right now, even though you are spending such and such amount of money out of pocket and spending so many hours of your leisure time building a business, you will never truly be successful as an internet marketer.

Get your goals firmly set in your mind, especially your one year and above goals.  Think about them, focus on them and see yourself as having achieved them in your mind.  This brings you into vibrational resonance with what you desire.

Talk about your goals as if they were already accomplished.  This creates and instills belief that you are deserving and that you can have those things you desire.

Take inspired action whenever your intuition, not your emotions, shows you a path to follow.  And for goodness sake show and speak gratitude to the Universe for all the many wonderful things you have in your life right now.

You know what you have to show gratitude for.  It may be a wonderful family, great relationships and enough money at the end of the month to pay all your bills.  Though, It just may be for being able to get out of bed each day, having eggs for breakfast,  breathing fresh air or any of thousands of little things that we take for granted each and every day.

Remember the Universe has already made everything you could possibly imagine, all you have to do is get in vibrational resonance with it to attract it.

Tracking the development of Internet is not as tricky as it seems. People hadn’t heard about SEO then, and it wasn’t that essential. Practically there was lack of competition in each slot. The idea of ample keywords on page leading to improved delivery positions by the given search inquiry only emerged later. Then simple algorithms were in use. The young man was very smart, but he lacked the crucial element of common sense. My friend grabbed a few packets and responded, “I think this is a good answer.” He threw the salt packets into the bags and began delivering the orders.

That story may sound humorous and even mildly pathetic, but sometimes knowledge without common sense can lead to indecision. The young man in the story wanted to do the right thing, but he let a difficulty stand in the way of business.
